NASCAR and NHRA driver, Nicole Lyons was invited by Embry Riddle University along with Rev Racing and the D4D NASCAR Pit Crew Combine to hold a feature presentation on racing, NASCAR and mechanics to college students at Embry Riddle University. The university is known as a aeronautical university so it was very fitting to speak on the mechanics and technical aspects of NASCAR with the students. Lyons who races NASCAR Whelen Series and NHRA drag racing also builds cars from the ground up as featured on Fox’s Speed TV reality show “Car Warriors”. She has built award winning engines and prides herself in engineering besides just driving. “Being able to give these extremely educated engineering students a inside look at careers in NASCAR and racing was remarkable. Racing utilizes so much engineering and is so much more in depth than just the driver. I was honored to give them a glimpse of both sides from the driving to the technical-mechanical positions on a race team.”, says Lyons.
